It is an unfortunate habit that many do.  When you are always looking at what may go wrong, you are in effect increasing your chances of have another anxiety or panic attack.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;When you feel anxiety building, immediately distract yourself.  Find something else to focus your mind on.  Preferably something positive!  The idea here simple - what you focus on grows. They can and do vary. Seriously, I feel I would be doing you a disservice by not sharing this wonderful program.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Beyond that, here are a few tips:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Don't fight your attacks.  If one comes on, get as comfortable as you can and do your very best to relax through it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Don't attempt to rush home if out and about. There is so much information and help out there available to you today. I know, I got rid of my panic attacks completely, and so can you.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here are 5 pointers you will find helpful in overcoming panic attacks:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Firstly&lt;/b&gt; - The symptoms of panic attacks are &lt;i&gt;nothing&lt;/i&gt; more than &lt;i&gt;exaggerated reactions&lt;/i&gt; to stress in your body. No matter how bad they may feel, it won't get any worse and you &lt;b&gt;will&lt;/b&gt; be alright.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Secondly&lt;/b&gt; - Rather than fight the panic attack and trying to stop it coming on with sheer force, just accept it for what it is (but no more than that) and take deep breaths and let go. Remember, force negates.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Thirdly&lt;/b&gt; - Make yourself as comfortable as possible without attempting to escape. So if you are in the middle of the street and you feel one coming on, go to the side and lean against a pole or wall, or sit. Don't fight it or try to rush back home. It &lt;b&gt;will&lt;/b&gt; go.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Fourthly&lt;/b&gt; - Never criticize yourself or beat yourself up for the way you feel. Know that you will be alright and that this "thing" you have can be gotten rid of and that you will in your own time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Fifthly&lt;/b&gt; - Always be in control where possible. When you feel the panic, don't fight it, use it as an opportunity to relax more and enjoy your breathing. You will find that the feelings will subside and it will be glorious to know that you did it all by yourself.
